Rick Body
Rick Body is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Manchester and Royal College of Emergency Medicine, Deputy National Specialty Lead for Injuries & Emergencies research at the National Institute for Health Research (UK), Deputy Editor of the Emergency Medicine Journal, Scientific Chair for the European Society for Emergency Medicine Annual Congress and a member of the IFCC Task Force on Cardiac Biomarkers. He has over 100 publications and has given more than 100 invited presentations at national and international conferences. He has a research interest in the evaluation of diagnostic tests and development of clinical prediction models. The algorithms that he has pioneered for diagnosing acute coronary syndromes are widely used in clinical practice.
